When you look only for blessings and answered prayers as the assurance of My love, you limit your experience of Me.

My gift to you is the full vocabulary of life’s poetry. My gift is all life’s literature, even the discordant phrases and passages that are difficult and tragic.

When your prayers and desires are centered, only on worldly blessings and rewards, and not Me, discouragement will become your buddy.

I’m here to give you the full measure of life’s gifts, but understand that trials can be gifts. They’re meant to change you to become brighter, more beautiful, and more like Me. 

Can you be as content with life and it’s stony paths as you are with sunshine and flowers? The greatest gifts I’ve given you are the ones you carry within you!
